How the booth works
Working from home is as convenient as a booth at the venue
Video from the venue goes straight to your booth, and everything else is right here
-
Relay through any channel: listen to the speaker's original or to any other booth's interpretation
Rare pairs are covered through a pivot language
-
Handover in one click
Your partner confirms, a dual timer counts your turn and the whole shift
-
Speaker and partner on one slider: make louder whoever you need to hear right now, and the other voice never fully leaves your headset
When your partner is on air, the speaker dips automatically
-
Intercom with the moderator, off air
Listeners don't hear you, and no one can join someone else's line

Maksim Mirosvetly, Director of Product, SIMULTAN
Our team has provided simultaneous interpretation for international events since 2015. Now we are building a platform where interpreters get invitations to events in their languages without hunting for gigs.
I know you get plenty of offers from companies you have never heard of. So here is my promise: we never charge interpreters, there is no exclusivity, and your data is deleted after one email.

What interpreters ask
Answers about payment, the contract and working from home
Is this a job or a side gig?
It is work on specific events under a services contract. You join the SIMULTAN interpreter pool, and we invite you when an event with your languages and subject comes up. You work from home and decide which invitations to accept
Who pays and when?
SIMULTAN pays you after the event. You don't wait for the client or the agency to settle: the money comes from us under the contract
What kind of contract?
A contract for interpreting services with SINKOM CORPORATION FZCO, our company in Dubai. It pays you after the event
Who sees my rate?
Only the SIMULTAN team. Organizers and other interpreters don't see it. We take your rate into account when selecting interpreters for an event
What happens after I email you?
A manager contacts you, confirms your languages and subjects and sends you access to your account. There you can update your rates, subjects and work format at any time
What do I need to work from home?
A laptop, a headset with a microphone, a stable internet connection, preferably wired, and a quiet room. No software to install: the booth opens from a link in your browser
Can I work without a booth partner?
Short broadcasts can be done solo. On long ones you work in a pair: the shift is handed over with one button, and a timer shows how long you have been on air
Can I see the speaker when interpreting from home?
Yes, the video from the venue goes straight to your booth. You see the speaker during the talk and balance the speaker and your partner with a single slider
What happens after you apply
From application to your first invitation: four steps
