Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SINKOM CORPORATION FZCO (Licence No. 67928, Dorra Bay, office 304, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, “we”) handles information about visitors to simultan.io. If you have questions, write to us at hello@simultan.io.

What we collect

  • Interpreter applications. If you fill in the application form on the interpreters page, we receive the data you enter: phone, country you live in, name, email, Telegram, city, languages, subjects, rates, experience, education, links to your CV or recordings and comments. See “Interpreter applications” below.
  • Event introductions. If you introduce an event organiser through the form on an exhibition page, see “Event introductions” below.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name and whatever you choose to include in the message and attachments.
  • Visit statistics. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics. It works without cookies and does not identify you: it counts visits, pages, referring sites and the country of the visit.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records technical data for every request: IP address, browser type, date and time, the page requested. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Interpreter applications

We use application data to consider you for interpreting assignments, contact you and create your account on the platform. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form. We record which version of the consent text you agreed to and when.

The form saves your answers step by step: after you agree and press “Next”, the answers entered so far are saved even if you do not finish the form. This lets you continue later and lets us contact you if you get stuck.

Applications are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database located in Western Europe. We keep an application for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, then delete it. You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your application at any time by writing to us.

Event introductions

If you use the “Get 100 USD” form on an exhibition page to introduce an event organiser, we receive your name, email and country, and the details you give about the event: its name, the organiser’s company name, website and how you know them. Please do not send personal contact details of other people: we only need the company. We use your data to review the introduction, contact you and pay the bonus. The legal basis is your consent. The data is stored in the same Cloudflare D1 database in Western Europe and is kept for up to 3 years.

Residents of Armenia

If you live in Armenia, your application or introduction is processed under the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data. In the form you give explicit consent to the transfer of your personal data outside Armenia, to the United Arab Emirates and to the countries where Cloudflare stores it, for the purposes described above. You have the rights listed under “Your rights”, and you can also file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia.

Cookies

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your theme choice (light or dark) locally, and this setting is not sent to us.

Demo booth

The interpreter booth demo can ask for access to your microphone to show the sound level indicator. The audio is processed only in your browser: it is not recorded and not sent anywhere.

How we use information

  • to reply to your messages and prepare proposals;
  • to consider interpreter applications and invite interpreters to events;
  • to understand which pages are useful and improve the site;
  • to protect the site from abuse and keep it running.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for as long as we work with you and then as required by law. Interpreter applications are kept for up to 3 years after our last contact. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the law of Armenia), you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data about you we hold and give you a copy;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time.

Third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site (Cloudflare for hosting and the application database, Ahrefs for analytics) and only to the extent they need. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
